True Worship

The origin in English of the word ‘worship’ is ‘worth-ship’, which expresses the value placed on someone or something.
The true quality and depth of our love for God will to a very great degree be evidenced by the quality and depth of our worship. When we value somebody, we do things to demonstrate that love; we put our thanks, appreciation and adoration into words, we give gifts and show that we care in practical ways.
Indeed how often do we hear the complaint, ‘You say you love me, but you never show it.’ Talk is cheap, but actions do speak louder than words and are a test of whether our words are genuine.
