Seeing Jesus' Person

John saw Jesus as He is, the majestic, exalted, enthroned King. Each trait of His personality seems to be emblazoned in the very flesh and sinew of His glorified body that radiates regality and dominion.
I want to be a candidate to look into His eyes and be purified by that fire that waits to surge into me and purge all of me. I want to bow at His feet, not only to touch the marks of ancient wounds, but also to be reminded that their brass-like character declares His complete qualification to bring all principalities and powers beneath Him.
I want to fall before Him, dead to my self and sin and alive to receive His transmission to me of His authority to minister it in His name.
I want Him to lay His right hand on me, just as He did John, and to so clearly speak His certainty of triumph into my soul that whatever trial, whatever test, whatever pain, whatever assault of hell I face - or however despondent - I will be steeled against defeat and stand unshakable through His words.
