Encountering God
Many helpful books have been written on the subject of prayer; yet encounter with our father on a daily,hourly basis, is still a struggle and will continue to be so for the bride at war. Nevertheless, if we do not find that place, we will effectively be robbed of reality in our faith, and the Father will be robbed of our sonship, the purpose for which he created us.We sit in a combined conspiracy at Sunday services and fellowship groups, most of us assuming that the others are having a better time at encounter than we are, and because we do believe in God and love him, we continue to play the Christian game with varying success. Those of us who are Christian workers can be best at this little charade, I know - I have played it all too often. We work for Him, we search the scriptures, we speak in faith, but we can remain robbed of encounter.
