We shall not be shaken
Beth Redman
Beth Redman talks about the theme "We shall not be shaken". Talking on Psalm 62, Beth Redman speaks about the juxtaposition between the headlines and the mundane routines of life, and how to live an unshaken life by hiding the Word of God in our hearts.
Beth Redman challenges the listener to be an unshakeable Christian - no matter what life may throw their way.
Psalm 62:1-2:
I will wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation my fortress where I will never be shaken.
Using illustrations from her own life and stories from biblical characters, Beth Redman talks about the need for a Christian to build a safe-house in Christ, where we can live secure and safe - unshakeable and avoiding wipeout. Beth outlines that the more we build lives around the word of God then the more secure we will feel - even when hard times come.
Furthermore, Beth Redman talks about the need for the listener to use the authority of Christ and His word (hidden in our hearts) to stand firm against the deceptions and lies that can hinder our security in Christ. She concludes by saying that if we have hidden the Word of Christ in our hearts then we can stand firm against anything that may shake us in life.
This sermon talks about discernment, truth, security, authority, victory.
