Do Christians really oppose gay marriage? From hot topic Homosexuality.

On the subject of same sex marriage, Steve Chalke says:
"The church is always going to be wrong-footed over the issue of gay marriage unless it sorts out a deeper and more profound issue. It's the issue of how it handles inclusion, and in this case, particularly inclusion with gay people."
Prefixed by the results from a study which explored how and whether different Christian groups were in favour of the legislation for same sex marriage, this debate, hosted by Lancaster University, explores various views on the subject.
The study showed that of all the Christian groups surveyed, more Anglicans were in favour of the legislation than any other group, followed by the Roman Catholics. Least in favour of the legislation, from the Christian groups surveyed, were the Baptists.
