Christianity Treated with Less Sensitivity

BBC director general Mark Thompson has admitted that Christianity is treated with far less sensitivity than other religions because it is ‘a pretty broad-shouldered religion.’
He adds that religion does not need the same amount of sensitivity and protection given towards racial issues.
Personally, Mr Thompson calls himself a ‘practising Catholic’ who believes that the truths of the Christian faith are objective rather than subjective.
The show ‘Jerry Springer: The Opera,’ aired on BBC2 in 2005, caused 45,000 to complain over the irreverent treatment of Christianity. However, Thompson himself ‘thoroughly enjoyed it.’
He states that the best advice if you think something might offend you is not to watch it.
