Boxer Gets Gold 'by the grace of God'

Ireland rejoiced when Katie Taylor, a committed Christian, won gold in boxing at the Olympics last week. Outspoken about her faith, in an interview she said that she'd won it 'by the grace of God.'
The 26 year old attends a pentecostal church called St Mark's in Dublin - her church family were watching with anticipation as she fought. 'Thank you Jesus' she said, after she achieved a victory of 10-8 against Russia's Sofya Ochigava.
Her openess in her faith has changed the way people in Ireland view the church - Mullarkey, Katie's pastor, said that in a day the church had gone from being viewed as somewhat obscure to one that 'everyone' has heard of.
In her training she prays with her mother and calls to mind key verses such as 'he makes my hands ready for battle' (2 Samuel 22:35).
