Listening To God

Would you like to hear God’s voice more clearly? I imagine many of us would; yet how do we tune in to His voice?
Listening To God is written in a conversational style, which meant I was able to devour its first few chapters in one evening. However, it’s definitely worth reading slowly in order to digest each chapter properly.
Joyce teaches her readers how to better tune in to God’s presence, be still, and listen for His voice in new ways. She writes honestly from personal experience, giving credibility to what she writes. There is even a chapter entitled Many Mistakes, in which Joyce gives advice as to how to avoid making the same mistakes she's made.
Some of the other chapters include:
Learning
to Listen
Tuning
in to God
A
Taste of Silence
Called
to Contemplate
Some Helps Along the Way
Joyce also covers the different ways in which God speaks to us – through visions and dreams, voices and angels, nature and the imagination, prophecy and tongues.
This is a very accessible book on prayer that combines a wealth of practical tips alongside biblical truths. Pick up a copy, read... and listen.
